wait never mind - the new editor version of form preferences went away

are you guys testing some new design?

recently features keep coming and going. like all of a sudden I could drag and drop things from a menu into a form, then I couldn't. Sometimes I have the ability to drag fields where you want them on the form instead of using move  up/ down or manage multiple fields and sometimes not. These features seems to come and go randomly

Yes, you're right that we have just released the new Form Preferences Wizard to 50% of our users. This was tested thoroughly by the team and everything went well. However, after it was released, there were issues arisen which affects multiple users so it was taken away and it is now under extreme checking/review to resolve the reported problems. We are truly sorry if this has caused issues on your side. Hopefully, it will be again released sooner.

Regarding on the "Hide Empty Fields on Emails" option on the new wizard, I'm sure it will be retained.

Furthermore, you can always keep on accessing the old wizard by appending ?old parameter on the URL while on edit mode.

    Example:

    https://www.jotform.com/?old

    OR

    https://www.jotform.com//?formID=11150970498111&old

    Thank you!

Thank you. This is helpful. Could there be some sort of heads up popup when you make a change to the way things work? I am always happy to see things moving forward but it can be disruptive to unexpectedly be a test user. The message should include the ?old method described above so people can opt out for a bit if they run into any issues.

btw those drag and drop options I mentioned above were great and I would love to see them return once any bugs are worked out.

We truly understand your concern on this. But I think due to the dynamics and speed of changes on how our development team work, having to pop a heads up every now and then to the users would require multiple effort as well. There were testers and quality analytics anyway,. so I think we rely on them for the evaluation of new things.

From time to time we do release announcements of new features/updates/changes. You usually get them via email and can be seen popping up when logged in to the Form Builder
