How can I expand the width of my checkbox questions?

I would like to expand the width of my checkbox questions so that the text is stretched horizontally across the page rather than being confined to the left margin. I already tried inserting a custom CSS, which did not change the display or fix the problem.

Will it suffice if you choose form label align to top on the label of the field?  Here is how it will look like:

If so, what you need to do is to select the element/field and then click Label Align > Select Top
