I have a registration form where I want to add a field "Fee Paid", but I don't want the people filling out the form to ever see this field. I want to be edit this field myself, and I want to be able to print it out with the reports.

You can add another text-box field called "Access Key" that you can use to add a condition for your hidden "Fee Paid" field.
Then set a Show/Hide condition to show the hidden field if the user enters the correct access key.
Here's a demo that you can see in action: https://form.jotform.com/60978622104961
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

The admin needs a way to see or add a value in the hidden field. The suggestion of my colleague works best if you would like it more organize and if the admin is editing a completed submission already.
However, if you want, the hidden field does not need a conditional logic. It will display in edit mode ONLY if you are in the submissions page.
Here's an example:
1. Here's my form: https://form.jotform.com/60983658614972. It has a hidden text box.
2. In the submissions page, click the "Edit" button.
2. In edit mode you'll see the hidden text box. Here you and the admin can update the submission.
Please note that when editing the submission, you'll need to click the submit button for the changes to apply. This means that notifications will be sent again.
I hope that helps.

ibealionReplied on April 8, 2016 at 12:45 PMThat's exactly what I want. I want a field that does not need
conditional logic that only shows up if I am on the "submissions" page.
How do I get a field like that? Right now, if I add a field and hide it
using conditional logic, it does not appear when I am editing the
submission either. I want it to appear when I am editing the submission,
but I do not want it to appear when the user is filling out the form.

ibealionReplied on April 8, 2016 at 12:45 PMNevermind. I was able to add a hidden field.
There is still a problem, though. That hidden field goes to the top of
the form regardless of where I put it on the form and it goes into the
background, so it gets covered by text. I had to create an empty text
box at the top of the form in order to see the hidden field when I edit
the form.

Is this the form you are working on https://www.jotform.com/53288327732966?
I have cloned and inspected your form and I saw that hidden field is at the top of the form, below the text field. However I was not able to replicate mentioned issue on my cloned form. I was able to drag and drop hidden field to the bottom of the form, without any issues. I was also able to add new field at the bottom of the form.
Are you still unable to move your hidden field inside of Form Builder? You can try using different browser or you can use menage multiple field option and move your field there, by dragging and doping.
Let us know if you need further assistance.

ctonozziReplied on August 31, 2016 at 11:12 PMJot Form support: I am trying to have fields that only I, as the admin, can see and I can complete those after the user has completed their portion of the form. I like what Charlie has suggested, but I don't want to have another email go to the user. Could I use a second submit button that would submit the data, but not trigger an email auto-response? Or could I put some condition on the submit button that would prevent an email?
