    Set Custom Tab Order

Asked by afgcashout on May 07, 2016 at 07:44 PM

Can I set a custom tab order for my form that specifies which field to jump to when the tab key is pressed? I have a form with four input columns side by side and I'd like the tab key to navigate down the first column, then down the second and so on when users are filling the form in. Any good ideas?

I have tested your form and it seems to have been working that way.

Here's a screencast of what's happening when I press the "Tab" key from my keyboard.

Is this what you're trying to achieve? If not, please give us more details of what you would like to happen. We will wait for your response. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the prompt replies! That is precisely what is happening
for me but not what I'm wanting. I want the tab order to go down that table
that starts with --------100s------- by column instead of by row. I want to
fill in 100s, 50s, 20s, 10s... in that order and then start at the top and
do it again. Hope that is clearer.

What you want is not possible, unless you set all the fields as "Read-only":

Then that is a function that should be added to the application.  Text columns should be able to go down.  Not everything is a numerical spreadsheet.  Also, in the example above usually one enters counts of denominations from a single sheet, e.g. LS1's report all at once.  Then LS2's, and so on.  Otherwise, one is having to pick up one sheet after another over and over again.  That's NUTS!
