Feature Request: Ability to require one answer per column in a matrix.

I can easily require an answer per row, but that makes for only horizontally large tables, which is exactly the opposite of what you want on a webpage, most of the time.  Can you extend this feature quickly to us?  I can't imagine why it wouldn't be useful.
