Can I set condition on form matrix calculation?

    Can I set condition on form matrix calculation? For example if column 5 as remarks says Best, the calculator will just compute all fields (rows) with best. Is that possible? Thanks.

    Hi Aaron, for us to better assist you, please give us the actual Form ID/URL that you're currently working on so we can check.

    If I understood you correctly, what you wanted to do is set a CONDITION that will check column 5 (Remarks). If the user enters "Best", then the calculation will only compute ALL the rows that contain "Best" on the "Remarks" column and exclude everything else from the calculation. Is that correct?

    Can you also tell us how you're doing your calculation? What's important is for us to understand your process and workflow so we can have a general idea on what you need.

    Please build your form up to the point where all that's left is for you to add the condition/calculation you want, then give us the form ID, explain to us a bit about your workflow and we'll take it from there :)

    Hello, Thanks for the assistance. Yes you got it right. I am making a multiple calculations in one matrix table hopefully using conditions in remarks. I complete the form and send to you asap. Thanks.

    @Jim_R

    Hello, this is the link to the form: https://form.jotform.me/61898024400453

    I am to complete values for RP, AP, P. Hence, if the put on the remarks P then it will compute all rows with P. However computation is sub categorized to 5 columns. I need computation on Hours, Placements, Video Showings, RVs, BS.

    For example, if 2 person on the form is remarked as P then these are the only to be computed. Results are filled and showed on the box below the form. Function is addition only.

    I hope this is possible to do in jotform.

    Thanks you.

    Thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a condition to the matrix field based on your requirement. You will only be able to compute specific cells that you have already set in the calculation formula. It is not possible to compute the rows in the matrix based on a condition. However, please allow me some time to see if there is a possible workaround. I will let you know on this thread once I am done investigating. Regards.
