I don't need my upgraded subscription year round, just certain months. When I went to downgrade it back to basic, it says "cancel subscription". Will this affect my account, forms and submissions at all?

Upon checking your account, downgrade shouldn't affect you at the moment since you're under limits even for Free plan, what you should in mind is your usage from now one, Free plan has limit, for example, for number of forms which is 5 total, and rest of the limits:
If you're over any of those limits your account will be disabled until next reset, which is every first of the month, or until you upgrade again.
