How do I change the text line spacing on notification and autoresponder emails?

i am having trouble getting the spacing removed on notification and autoresponder emails. how do i change this as the gap is too big thankyou

You can do it by editing the email message body text within the source code of the template.

Example:

You can change the span tag (</p) to break tag (<br/) instead for lesser line spacing.

Please be very careful in doing this as altering the source code of the email template can break that email template and it may not work properly anymore. I suggest you try it first on another copy of email template.
