Is it possible to put in a range for money to donate?

Asked by AISDCSecretary on November 20, 2016 at 02:17 PM

Speaking of payments. Can we put in a "range" for money to donate? Exp. $5,000 - $9,999? Or $10,000 - $14,999? From there they can input the exact amount they wish to donate: Exp. $6,500 or $11,000 respectfully?  We are going to be using Square for this process.

Do I have to make a product for each of these variables? Will I be able to include the ranges indicated above?

    Thank you.

Yes, it is certainly possible to create a "ranged" amount for your users to donate money to you.

The best way I can think of to do this at the moment would be to use one of our slider widgets to generate and set up your range values.

You can then have that value sent into a form calculation widget (or conditional insert value with a textbox) at which point you'll also have your payment field such as square set up to get the ranged donation amount from that field.

I've taken a few minutes to create a simple setup for this just to show you a quick example form.

Basically, to explain it better the calculation field is gathering the numeric value from the donation amount field that the my product field is then getting from the calculation to allow you to sell and accept priced donation amounts with a payment integration.
