Can you help me set up proper conditional notification and autoresponder emails

    Hello,

I would like to correct the conditional logic applied on this form so that if field #3 has a certain set of responses, the notification goes to a certain email and one of two autoresponder emails is sent. For the other set of responses, the notification should go to a second email and a second, separate autoresponder should be sent. Right now, both autoresponders are sent despite the conditional logic.

I cloned your form to test it and depending on the answer in the form, only one autoresponder was sent with each  submission and only one notification.

I did not see any circumstances where both autoresponders would be sent.

If both are still sending on your end, let us know what set of selections causes them both to send and we will test that as well.

Maybe I've corrected it somehow, but the circumstance was for when #3. Group Type was "Non-school group of 10 or more." We submitted a test form with this selection and received both Autoresponders to the address entered. The goal is for anyone selecting Before Care, After Care, Day Care, or Non-School to get Autoresponder 2 (but not Autoresponder 1) and for the other selections (types of schools) to get Autoresponder 1 (but not Autoresponder 2). Hope this helps clarify!

I tested with "Non-school group of 10 or more" chosen and still only received one autoresponder and one notification email.  As far as I can tell, the conditions are working how you stated they should.

Ok great, thank you for checking again. I will have the user submit another test form. Not sure what I did to correct it in my messing around with the settings!

Let us know if both autoresponders continue to send and we will check the specific submission that triggered them.  I did a few more tests just to make sure and everything looks good from those tests.

Will do. The one the spurred the question is the second in the current inbox:

    Hi,

So, this particular submission triggered both of the autoresponders? On the cloned version I could not replicate this. I chose the option "Non-school Group of 10 or more" but I had only one Autoresponder. However, when I check the email logs of the submitter of that particular entry I can see that it received two Autoresponders.

Maybe, this was before you figured things out? Can you please run some further tests and let us know when you encounter the issue again? It'd be a great help for us if you could provide such feedback.

Please contact us again if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards

Correct, that submission triggered both autoresponders. Before submitting my question I tinkered with the conditional formatting and email set up, but I honestly don't know what I changed! Maybe there is somewhere in the revision history that you can pin point that. I have had the user who experienced the issue do another test and this time she properly received only the intended autoresponder. Sorry I can't be of more help!

The only thing I can think of is that I have recently changed all of the sender emails to an internal address instead of noreply@jotform.com because we were having issues with receiving notification emails, separate from this issue. Once I put in the SMTP settings for an internal address and started using that as the sender (onlinesupport@senecazoo.org) that issue seems to have been resolved.

Changing the sender email should not affect on conditions that are set.

I have also cloned and inspected your form and your email conditions are set correctly. Also when I did test submission on my cloned form, only one Autoresponder email was sent.

However I did noticed that some of your other conditions have errors. I would suggest you to fix them.

It seems that your issue with conditional Autoresponder emails is now resolved. However if it happens again, please let us know.

Thanks. Unfortunately I am not able to see which fields have been deleted and this is a form that has gone through TONS of changes over the course of almost a year, so I don't have a good way to correct the error. Let me know if there's a way to see which field has been deleted within each condition.

If the form is working correctly, you can disable or deleted those conditions.

You can also check revision history of your form and check which fields were deleted. Today there was 68 updates on your form. You can check type of field that was removed and name of the field that was removed. How to view form revision history
