Yes, it is possible to add a this feature to your form, you will need to add the Countdown widget: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/countdown
This guide will help you adding it: https://www.jotform.com/help/252-How-to-Add-a-Widget-to-your-Form
Hope this helps.
- IHSOfficeAnswered on May 17, 2017 at 01:43 PMHi Kevin_G,
Thanks for the answer.
Is there a way to prevent the forms from timing out besides using a countdown widget?
I don’t want patients feeling pressured to hurry - like they’re on a timer.
Plus the reviews/stars on that widget is 1/5… not overly confident in it.
Thanks for all your help!

Unfortunately, there is not other way to block the form after some time of inactivity, the widget will help you blocking the form after some time no matter if your user is filling out the form, although you could hide the widget if you do not want them to feel pressured.
We could also open a feature request to our second level if you want, although we cannot provide an ETA about it, we would let you know as soon as we get any update about the request.
