Can I create a JotForm form and have its submissions autopopuplate an external PDF?

QUESTION: ...CAN I... have my own form (ie. http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf), ...BUT I DON'T want the form to be visible to the person filling out the form.  I just want to create a form with the same information (required answers), but the JotForm then merges the information into MY provided document (ie. QUESTION: ...CAN I... have my own form (ie. http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf), ...BUT )for them to print.

I apologize for not understanding your request. Could you please provide us with more information such as the form ID or URL, and the specific issue you're having with it, so we can inspect and assist you better?

The part that I didn't understand the most is what you mean by not wanting the form to be visible to the person filling out the form.

    Thank you in advance.

So, i want to make sure that you understand what I want.

The ORIGINAL form that I want filled out is like this one ==> http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf

However, it's complicated and intimidating to fill out... so, I would like to create a SIMPLE form with the fields for them to input — the answers within the fields then need to auto-populate/merge into the original form that of the URL that I provided you above.

So, I DON'T want the NEW form to look like the ORIGINAL form.

I just want a SIMPLE form with fields that once filled out will auto populate/merge into the ORIGINAL form.

    Does that make sense?

Thank you for providing more information. That allowed us to see exactly what you would like to achieve.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create a JotForm form and have its submissions autopopuplate an external PDF.

If you need further assistance please let us know. We will be happy to help. Thank you.

Aidan, no. You misunderstood. NOT on an external PDF, I just provided you that URL as an example of the form that I want. I have the same form.

I want to create a SIMPLE form with the fields for them to input — the answers within the fields then need to auto-populate/merge into MY form (not an external document)

So, I DON'T want the NEW form to look like the ORIGINAL form.

I just want a SIMPLE form with fields that once filled out will auto populate/merge into the ORIGINAL form.

    Does that make better sense?

First of all please accept my apologies if I misunderstood your request.

    1. If by "ORIGINAL form" you mean a JotForm form that you have created, which looks similar to the example URL you provided earlier (http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf) then please consider our guide on how to automatically pass form data to another form here: https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form

    2. If by "ORIGINAL form" you mean anything other than a JotForm form, then I'm afraid it's not possible to prepopulate data into it automatically.

I hope this answers your question, and I apologize in advance if I am still missing something.

Hello Aidan, sorry...I'm not explaining myself correctly.
You almost got my question ;)

I will have the form (example URL I provided earlier (http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf)), let's call this MICHAEL'S PDF ORIGINAL.

I want to create a JotForm form that will have simple fields that will integrate/merge the field answers into MICHAEL'S PDF ORIGINAL (form example URL I provided earlier (http://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/form_b101.pdf)),

Is that a little easier to understand?

It is not possible to integrate a JotForm form with a PDF.  There is no way for us to send from data to your PDF.  The form can collect data and forward to your JotForm account, but we do not have a way to take that data and use it to populate your PDF.
