Submissions from a deleted form

I am wondering if submissions from a form are tied to that form.  If so, what happens to them if I delete the form?  I can't seem to find the answer in the searches I've done so far.

If submissions are specific to one form, I will have to change my workflow.  I've been cloning my working, editable copy as I make changes and tweaks, and use the clone as the 'real' form.  When I look at my test submissions I've done myself, they seem to be associated with a specific form.  I don't see any place to view all the submissions from all the forms for the whole account.

Please note that if you delete a form permanently, all submissions of that form is also deleted automatically.
