I edit the JOTs submitted by my nurses to add the number of clients they have seen.
yesterday when I edit, the field for # of visits would not appear. I tried deleting and adding the field again but can't seem to get the field back.

In manually adding fields, it has an incrementing ID which may not be matching to the submissions on a specific field of the removed one. Have you tried reverting your form to a previous layout in attempting to recover the field?
