A succinct way to have a checkbox and quantity text box

I've developed a form that our salesmen use to request items for a tradeshow or workshop.  In the Misc section, I envision having a quantity box beside each checkbox.  but when I tried it it seemed to take up a lot of screen room.  Is there not a way I can "combine" an item and a small quantity box on the same line or something similar?

You can use the Configurable List Widget. With that widget you can combine different types of fields.
