I'm making a hot lunch order form and need to add dates as well as food selection for those days.  How do I do that?   Also, need to allow one parent to order for multiple children.  Thank you!

I'm afraid that the only way is to create multiple fields for each option.

Basically, what you already did. So like you did for Pizza and Chick-Fil-A options showing for each student, you created duplicate fields.

Now, if you want to do the same for dates, for each student, then this will complicate the workflow.

Since you will have to create all additional fields for Pizza and Chick-Fil-A for each date.

Now, how you imagined this workflow exactly? You select how many students, then the appropriate number of lunch fields appear as well as selection for dates? Where, when they choose the dates, for example, 2 or 3, the lunch options will show accordingly?

If you could clarify that part, please?

I'm so sorry...I don't really understand what you're asking me.  I'm trying to make a lunch order form that allows parents to pick the days and the food.  Can you please help me?

    thank you

I have just checked your form and I  can see you have options for three different students, you have also two set of options per student, pizza and chick. If you need to collect dates you may simply add a date field right on each student's section, example:

Now, what we would like to know is how may date fields do you need, for example, do you need a date field per option (pizza or chick)? If so, then you may just add a date field right below each one of them.

But if you need a date field per sub option, then you may need to add more date fields, so for pizza, you would need to add 9 date fields and show them as the options are selected, to show the date fields only if the desired option has been selected you will need to use conditions and this guide will help you doing that: https://www.jotform.com/help/316-How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer

So far, this is the only way to collect the desired food options and dates, there is a configurable list widget that may help displaying the fields on a different order, but it's not possible to perform calculations and get a total with this widget, here is the link to the widget if you would like to take a look on it: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/configurable_list

    Thanks.

Thank you.  Now how to I get it to give a total for each section.  ie  if parent orders 3 days of pizza and a chicken order?

It's possible to perform calculations based on the selected options, this guide will help you doing so: https://www.jotform.com/help/259-How-to-Perform-Form-Calculation-Using-a-Widget

If you need to perform calculations based on dates, then this guide will help you doing so: https://www.jotform.com/help/443-Mastering-Date-and-Time-Calculation

    I hope this helps.
