Hi -- the team is asking me to create a multi-select question where once a certain choice is selected, you cannot select any of the other choices.
For example, this is a multi-select question, except that if item 5 is selected, you then can't select 1-4. Is this possible?
Q: Who have you met at our events? Please select all that apply.
1. Steering Committee members
2. Host Committee members
3. Other members
4. Special guests
5. I haven’t met anyone at events.

Hi,
You can use two separate fields. Inside of the first field, you can add the field options and inside of the second field add only 5th option. Then you can use conditional logic to clear the options that are selected inside of the first field if 5th option is select inside of the second field. You can also disable the rest of the fields if '5th' option is selected.

How to Enable/Disable Fields Using Conditional Logic
Hope this meet what you are looking for!

I'll give this a try, thank you!

Using the Conditions (disable/require field condition) should work using the Multiple Choice (Checkbox field).
Ex:
You can test the demo form https://form.jotform.com/81447076318965
If Option 5 is selected, it will disable the field -- preventing further choices on the same field.

The test is great, but there is a small problem - you then can't unselect item 5 if you change your mind -- not the greatest UX. Is there away around this?

You will need an additional field to clear the selection, example: https://form.jotform.com/81447240566963
I only added two additional conditions to the sample form my colleague provided:
