Autoresponder Email: Email Address Referenced in Form Received Notification Email

Good afternoon. I have recently started using your service and have a question about the behaviour or the site. As a part of the submission of a form an individual whose email address was referenced on the form received a copy of the completed form. In my settings I have only myself set up to receive these emails and since I am still using a free account I should be the only one who receives them.

Have you encountered this before? Do you know how this happened?

    Thank-you

You can use Email Notifications to receive emails and Autoresponders to send emails to users who filled the form.

With our starter plan, you cannot add multiple recipients to an email notification. The workaround is to create a new autoresponder/email notification for each recipient. Or you can upgrade to any paid plan.

    Good morning Ashton,

thank you for your response. I'm sorry if I was not clear. What happened was the person who received the email was not me or the person who filled out the form. It was an email that was on the form. It was simply written there.

I'm not sure if I have understood the issue correctly. As I understood, you set the recipient email to donor's email field. So, autoresponder mail is going to donor's email which is on the form.

Hi Mary, yes that is the problem. I'm not sure how I managed to do that. It was unintentional. Is this something that could have been set up automatically or would I have had to have set it up?

Anyway, I didn't want it and have removed it. Thank you.

When an email field is added to a form an Autoresponder Email will be automatically created. The default Recipient Email of the Autoresponder email will be an email field from your form. In your case, it seems that the default recipient was Donor's Email field.
