New vendor questions regarding Jotform features

    Good morning,

Our camp is reviewing different vendors to see if they may be a better fit than our current vendor.

One major feature we like about our current vendor is that a parent can enter common info for the whole family: address, emails, emergency contact info, etc, then fill out separate forms for individual children without having to retype all the common demographics. Does Jotform have a feature like this?

Another thing that is essential is that a parent or staff applicant be able to start filling out an application and come back to it at a later time. Is this something that Jotform offers?

Can form responses be filtered within Jotform, or do the forms need to be exported before processing?

Can the forms be embedded into our own website?

    Thank you for your help,

    Christine Martin

.....without having to retype all the common demographics. Does Jotform have a feature like this?

Yes. This requirement can be achieved by passing the field values to the other form URL parameters by following the guide below:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/351-How-to-Automatically-Pass-Form-Data-to-Another-Form

Another thing that is essential is that a parent or staff applicant be able to start filling out an application and come back to it at a later time. Is this something that Jotform offers?

It is possible to save the form data by enabling the Auto-fill option in the form settings. Please note that the feature allows saving the form filled information in the browser storage. So, the data can be accessed only when the form is opened on the same computer and same browser. Also, if the browser storage/cache is cleared, the form data will be lost.

If you want to have the form data to be displayed on any PC/browser, you may consider using session parameter method. However, it is required to be a multi-page form. Please check the following guide that can help you with this.

Can form responses be filtered within Jotform, or do the forms need to be exported before processing?

You may create a filter the submissions from the Sheets submissions view as per your requirement.

Can the forms be embedded into our own website?

Yes. You may embed the forms on your website using the embed code provided in the Publish tab.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/34-Embedding-a-Form-to-a-Web-Page

You may also share the form URL directly to receive the submissions.

    Hope this information helps!
