    Hi

We are trying to create a form for our book fair in school. I have around 300 books which will be present in book fair for the students to purchase. Is there a way I can upload this data or should I enter manually all the books and the cost. Please confirm

Which widget should I use for the below situation?

I tried with Data Grid / Excel integration but it does not allow me to select the row and the Payment Gateway has to pick up the price from the selected row.

Example : ISBN Number , Book Name, Price

    Thanks

I am not sure if I understand your query correctly. Do you want to display the data of 300 books on your JotForm to be able to select them for purchasing? Let us know if the users know a unique value such as ISBN number or book name to search on the form using Spreadsheet to Form widget?

Please provide us with more information so that we can guide you in the right direction.

We will wait for your response. Thank you!

    Hi

See my screenshot below. Is there a way I can relate the Spreadsheet to Form to the matrix where I should be able to add more than one row.

Example: I should be able to select more than 1 book.

If there is another way, please can you guide me.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to select multiple selections from the Spreadsheet to Form widget and transfer the data to the other widget. The data from the Spreadsheet to Form widget can only be filled in the basic fields on the form.

Please allow me sometime to see if I can find a solution/workaround to achieve your requirement.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your patience. Considering your requirement to display or search the books which are around 300, it seems the widget doesn't work unless you add multiple text fields for each book selected. That means if you want the users to order 10 books in a form, you'll be required to add 10 widgets and let the users to search for each book and display the data of the respective book fields.

Please see the cloned version of your JotForm with added two books to see if that works.

You may add a calculation widget at the end to perform calculation and pass the calculated value to the payment field for processing the payment.

    Hope this information helps!

Please note that the search function of the Spreadsheet to Form widget in the cloned form doesn't work since the field labels may be different from the spreadsheet. You may be required to have different spreadsheets attached to each widget to match the field labels on the form.

Please see the guide below for more information on using Spreadsheet to Form widget.

    Hi

Please see my below screenshot. I have one issue, the parent who is entering the book name does not know the full name, how can I include an option of drop down of all the books or anyway they can refer to the book names. Any suggestions.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to search or use autocomplete in the Spreadsheet to form widget. However, considering the number of books, you may use Autocomplete widget on the form to search for the books. This may be an additional step to the user to search the book from the Autocomplete widget and get the book information from the spreadsheet to form widget.

You may add the list of book titles in the autocomplete widget and add a condition to copy the text from the autocomplete widget to Spreadsheet to form widget.

Please see the cloned form below to see how it works.

yes that worked. Thanks for the help. Hopefully this will be my last question. Is there a way to display the book names and there picture .

Or is there a way for parents to view all the book, brief description and their image . Should I add these to the Spreadsheet to form widget and add the long text ?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

You may add the information to the spreadsheet that are required to be displayed in separate fields on the form. However, it is not possible to display the image on the form by pulling from the spreadsheet. You may display only the link to the image and the user may be required to copy and paste it in the browser to preview the image.

    Hope this information helps!

    Thanks

Is there a way to have different font or font colours for 2 different text in the header

Example: tinlids should be in different colour and the Book Fair Gr1-8 should be in different colour , how can I implement it in my form.

Unfortunately, you cannot format a single header's texts differently as they're one entity in the form.

What you can do is to replace the header with a TEXT FIELD so you could format the texts in the way you preferred.

    Here's a quick demo:
