Conditions for notifications

Hi there,

I have created a self evaluation form for 27 students to fill out weekly. All of the forms need to go to the head teacher, so I put his email as the recipient for Notification1. But 8 of the 27 students work with a second teacher, and 3 others work with a third teacher. I set up conditions for each of these students so that their forms would be copied to both their teacher and the head teacher.

I thought this was good, but it looks like now, the head teacher is not receiving forms for all the other students. So did my conditions override the settings for Notification1, even when the conditions weren't met?

I was assuming Notification1 would go out to the head teacher unless the conditions were met, but it looks like it turns off the Notification1 completely. If this is the case, that means I have to set up conditions for each of the remaining student forms to go to the head teacher. Is this true, or is there a way to work around this?

Hi,

Since you have set up conditions the notification Email will only be sent when the conditions are met to the Email specified in the notification. I would suggest setting up a condition to send an Email to the headteacher if the form is "filled"  no matter the value that is filled inside it. 

Another solution would be to set a second notification one for conditions and the other would be for default Email notifications.

This way the notification you use in the conditions will only be sent when the conditions are met the other notification will be sent for all submissions.

Thanks so much for your help on this! Both of those are great solutions. Before you replied, I went ahead and set up conditions for all of the students, which was a bit redundant, but it works. I’ll know better how to handle it next time.
