I've set up fill in the blanks form element on this form

    https://form.jotform.com/tsdosanjh/appointment-booking

How do I get the contents of this field to pass into the email notification or Google calendar description integration

    Thanks,

I did check the form "Appointment Booking" that you have shared and there is no "Fill in the blank" field added in this form. Please check the screenshot below:

Please note that when you add a fill in the blank field, it will be displayed in the email alert as well. You will also have option to configure the fill in the blank field on what data you want to send in submission. Please check the screenshot below:

Please let us know the form in which you have added the fill in the blank field, and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

    Hi @tsdosanjh,

I have cloned your form and ran some several tests to meet your requirements on including the prepopulated link or URL to Google Calendar Integration. Unfortunately, it's not possible to integrate the prepopulated link in Google Calendar integration, I have also tried to use the Paragraph and the Fill in the Blanks fields to contain the value of the prepopulated link.

As for the email notification, if you are going to use the Fill in the Blanks field, you would need to add a field (i.e. Short Text field) then follow my colleague's advise @Ashwin_D, to make the field visible on the email.

Or edit the email template and directly insert the link, as I can see you have implemented this on your notification:

Can this issue be raised with the developers?

It would be good if the paragraph form element (or fill in the blanks) had a field name & unique ID such that it was available to use with GCal integration.

It would be a useful way for healthcare practitioners to organise their diary and allow them to smoothly go from 1 form to the next without needing to look through emails for the pre populated URL parameters link.

    Thanks

Please note that paragraph field cannot be passed to email, integration or thank you message as it is just a set of HTML code with no input element.

Do you just want to pass the prepopulated form URL to Google Calendar integration? Please let us know, and we will see if there is any possible workaround to achieve your requirement.

Unfortunately I am unable to find any workaround to achieve your requirement when you want to use full name and date picker field.

There can be a possibility to achieve this when you use separate field for first name and last name and for data, 3 separate fields needs to be added. Will you be okay with such workaround?

We will wait for your response.

the url link can be put into the email notification.  Is there a way the email notification or PDF can be saved into Google Calendar integration?

Unfortunately no, it is not possible to save the email content of the PDF in google calendar integration. Only the field data which you have in form can be sent to any integration.

I will work on the workaround which I mentioned earlier and will get back to you soon.

We apologize for the late response.

I would like to offer my workaround based on what my colleague Ashwin mentioned.

Below is the breakdown of the form.

    - First and Last Name broken using two Short Text Entry field.

    - Date field broken into the following

    3 Short Text Entry field

    3 Substring widget https://www.jotform.com/widgets/substring

Here's a screencast http://shots.jotform.com/jed/vid/2434174.webm of how I added the url to my Google Calendar "Description" field.

After testing, this is how it looks on my Google Calendar.

You may also check the link below of the forms I've used in my sample screencast:

I hope that this workaround helps, but if you need further help or have questions, just let us know.
