Offline forms saved to device?

Can you please clarify how the offline specifically works?

I understand that when a URL for the form is clicked, the form downloads and then can be filled offline...

...but can an offline instance of the form be pre-stored on Windows or Android for scenarios where there is no internet access?  If so, can the instance of the offline form be used multiple times for different form entry records?

    Hi there,

I would like to suggest that you check out the guides below with a detailed explanation about the offline forms and how you can use them.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/589-How-can-I-use-JotForm-Mobile-Forms-without-internet-access

    https://www.jotform.com/blog/how-to-get-work-done-on-the-go-with-offline-forms/

Please note that the offline form option is only available within the JotForm Mobile App. You can fill out the form within the app and submit it. Once you have internet access you can sync your forms and the offline submissions will show up in your account as well.

If you still have any questions or concerns then please let us know and we will be glad to provide assistance.

    Thanks.

I am trying to get a simple answer without having to wade through those pages, which I have done, but with no clarity.

I'll try again with my scenario to see if someone can answer.

We have a site where multiple users access an end of shift form on specific devices (3 shared Android tablets and a PC).  The users are not allowed to use their own phones.

If we lose internet to our site, we want users to still have access to the end of shift form to enter specific shift-related data.  Each user would need to access a separate instance of the form (like a template).  So there could for example be 10 or 20 copies of the form completed (one for each shift where there is no internet).

Can someone please give me clarity to save me playing with the feature to have to establish whether this will do the job or not?

To answer your question quickly "Yes it will do the job".

Now let me explain in detail how this will work:

First of all the JotForm offline mode is only available in the mobile app so you can only use it on your 3 shared Android tablets. It will not work on the PC.

The account owner will have to be logged in to the JotForm mobile app. You can access your forms in the offline mode by pressing the settings icon in the app.

    Then click on offline forms:

On the next screen, you can select the forms that you'd like to use in offline mode. Once you select it the app will start syncing it automatically and will show a green check sign once it is done.

Then you can click on the offline form in the My Forms page and use "Fill out form" option or "Open in kiosk Mode" option.

Fill out form option will allow you to submit the form once and then you'll have to open it again. However, in Kiosk mode the form will get refreshed automatically after some seconds or you can refresh it instantly to submit the form again.

So the users will be able to submit the form one after another in kiosk mode easily.

Once you have the devices connected with internet again you can open the settings tab again and press "Sync Now" option and the app will start syncing the offline submissions.

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Thanks.

Thanks for this explanation.  I will test this by setting up kiosk mode.
