Check if Spreadsheet to form widget info is valid or not

Hi, I hope you are all well,

I believe I already know the answer to this.

On form AAC Versatility Certificates Form(200016807833954), I have two Spreadsheet to form widgets. I want each to validate correctly before the applicant can move on. I tried using logic to accomplish this with no success. I have the value entered copied to another field when filled, validation field, but I only want it copied if a valid number is entered, that is, a number that is on the excel spread sheet. If the number is valid, show the next spread sheet to form widget question, and if this one is valid, show and move on to the next questions..... I hope I'm clear...

I was thinking that the number copied into the "validated" field would only occur if the spread sheet to form value was correct... not the case... value is copied as it is entered, not after validation. So, it dose not work as I want. I believe this is because we cannot check the widget status to see if it had a valid input or not, am I correct?

Perhaps there is an alternate method to accomplish this?

    I patiently await your reply.

    Best, Robert

Do you mean to say that you want to populate the field only when the ID is validated? Is that correct?

I did check your form and found that you have added condition to insert the value of "Membership Number" in "Member ID validated" field. Please note that this will not work as it will simply copy the content of the membership number and insert in another field.

I would suggest you to please configure the column of uploaded Excel file with the form field name. When id is validated, the widget will populate the value in the form fields with data from your uploaded Excel file. Please add condition to read the value of this populated field and then show the next set of fields or widget. You may like to take a look at the following guide on how to use spreadsheet to form widget: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-how-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget (please check step #4 on how to populate form fields).

    Hope this helps.
