Hi, ETRdotTV. I hope you are having a great day.

I get a little bit confused. Can you please, give us a detailed explanation of what you want to do? Maybe if you detail this in steps, we can understand better and provide you a precise reply.

We will wait for your answer.

    Best regards, ✨

    Hi Gustavo,
    Thanks for responding.
I'm currently an Airtable user so I guess I think in their terms. They have a good and functional database product, but their forms are no where near as functional as yours.
However, if you create a Form View of a Table in Airtable you can have fields in the Form that allow a Form user to pick records (that exist in the table) using a Field that links to another Table. So the result for the Form user is kind of like a drop down selection field, but the choices are part of another Table, not simply defined as choices in a drop down field.
So what I would like to do is have a Jotform Table set that includes a Table for Contacts, a Table for Products, and a Table for Orders.
In this case the Form should populate data into the Orders Table. But I would like the Form to be able to choose Products via a connected field in Orders (that connects to Products). And the same thing for Contacts.
This way, the Form user should be able to choose a Contact and a Product while on the Form page. Is this possible?

    Hi Ronald,

From my understanding, you would like for a certain field to be connected to a different Table. Is my understanding correct?

For each form you made in JotForm, it will automatically have its own Tables. However, you may create a new tab to connect another form's Tables within that particular forum.

Or, if you would like for a certain field to be connected to a different Table, it is also possible by adding Add a New Column > Connection > Connect a Form or Connect a Table

Ok say for example I have a Table called Orders. In that Table is a Field called Name, That Name Field is connected to another Table called Contacts, which has several records in it.
When I wish to enter data in to the Name Field in the Orders Table, I can select from the records that are in the Contacts Table, via that Name field in the Orders Table. So the Name Field in the Orders Table is pulling data from the Contacts Table.
    That all works fine.
But, what I want to do is have a Form that has the Name Field from the Orders Table in it. Instead of typing an entry into that Field, I want to just select from the available records in the Contacts Table, just like I can do when I'm in the Orders Table, as I described above.
So I'm looking for a Form that can pull data from a Table and allow the Form user to select that data and have it returned to the Orders Table, just like it would if I did it from within the Orders Table.

    Hi Ronald,

Unfortunately no it is currently not possible to pull data for form fields from submission data.

I would suggest you please take a look at our "Spreadsheet to form" widget and see if that fits your requirement. It will allow you to upload an excel file in the widget where users can search for a record based on unique code. You may also like to take a look at the following guide which should help you:  https://www.jotform.com/help/442-How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

Thank you. It's too bad that your integration with Airtable doesn't take advantage of their API's ability to send you data. It only appears to push data from Jotform to Airtable.
Airtable Form Views do allow you to do what I want to do but their Form customizations are nowhere near as powerful as yours.
If only Jotform and Airtable could be fully integrated it would be perfect! I guess with your Tables product you are trying to compete with Airtable. Tables looks a lot like Airtable but is not as powerful.
Alternatively if you improved your Tables product and fully integrated it with your Forms product, THAT would be wonderful!
    Thanks again.

    Hi Ronald,

I'll add this as a feature request to our developer's team to be considered from their side, the point is we can't provide a time frame for the implementation of this option, but once this option is added in the future you will be notified by an updated on this ticket.
