Hi there,
We are using Jotform as a donation portal that handles recurring donations, and some do not have a recurring end date. Does Jotform track each of those transactions on your end or would that all come from the payment processor side of things? I am trying to figure out how to sync this data with Airtable to track all the donation transactions.

Hi,
Jotform only captures the submissions data that include the first payment transaction data after the form is submitted. So when the form is submitted, the first payment will be processed by the payment processor you choose then it will also automatically create a recurring payment record in your payment processor's dashboard so future recurring payments will be handled by the payment processor. Jotform can't track those anymore.
Thanks

Thank you for that answer! Is there any way to transfer any metadata from the form into the payment processor? For example, data from a form question? Thanks.

Hello,
Usually, there is a way to send email addresses, respondent addresses by mapping the form fields in the payment processor 'additional settings' area (as shown in the screenshot below).
Only supported fields can be be mapped here.

Thank you!

When you submit a payment form in Jotform, does it record some sort of transaction ID on the back end? Whether that is for the customer or the transaction?

Yes, every financial transaction generates a unique transaction ID; Jotform saves this transaction ID (as shown in the below screenshot) which can be later used to find the corresponding entry on the payment processor's website.
