Send Copy of submission to other email address

    I find it difficult to explain my problem in a form i made.

    I get a lot of help from this forum but it's i don't get it.......

    That's why i'll give it another try.


    I've made a form for my colleagues to fill in the hours they worked in a week.

    They send this form by telephone to me but they would like to send a copy of this form  to them selfs

    by an email. Is this posible? I don't understand the words like: autoresponder / submission etc.


    Can someone help me (again)??

    Okay so basically what you want to do is allow them to receive a copy of your jotform via email.

    The first thing you need to understand is that your jotform as two types of email alerts. The following two guides below will help you to understand the differences between them and after that you can decide which would suit you better. 

    To explain it in short terms basically the Email Notification goes to you and the Autoresponder is mor intended to send a copy of the jotform submission to the person whom filled it in.

    Thanks for your reply!

    I think i must use the Autoresponder. But when i add 2 email emailadresses in my form, the filled in form will be send to both of these emails.

    And one person gets a copy of the form that another person filled in. That's not what i wanted. (for privacy reasons for instants)

    What you could do if you wanted to have more control over it is make a different notification or autoresponder according to your needs and limit the field data seen inside them so that certain information isn't seen.

    You can create 1 Email Notification or 1 Autoresponder per email address instead if you want instead of listing them all in the same one this way you can keep certain information as private.

    For instance...

    Email Notification 1 / Autoresponder 1 would have Name, Email, Phone, Supervisor, Comment all listed inside of it.

    However, in Email Notification 2 / Autoresponder 2 you could remove that certain information or divide it up even further between your users whom are filling in your jotform. This one would show only the information you want them to see such as Name, Email, Phone.

    I'm sorry i don't understand.

    Wich email adres do i have to fill in here above? From the person who want's a copy of the form he filled in?

    And when the person has filled in an email adres, he gets a copy of the form he filled in??

    Hi Henri.

    From everything that you have written it seems to me that you are looking for 2 things.

    1 notifier

    1 autoresponder

    What is notifier?

    Notifier is an email that will be sent to a person that did not fill out the form, but that needs to get this info. For example, you and team management, etc.

    What is autoresponder?

    Autoresponder is an email that is sent to the person filling out the jotform. Usually this type of email does not hold all the information that the notifier has, but it can, all depending on your preferences.

    So how do you make it all work?

    When things seem complicating, I "zoom in". What I want to say with that is that we just ignore everything else and focus on one thing in particular.

    So lets first clone the jotform (to make a backup) and remove all email notifiers and autoresponders in this new jotfom so that we can start clean.

    Lets focus on Notifier first. To set it up properly, you should take a look at this guide: Setting Up Email Notifications

    Now once you set it all up and test you will have configured an email to be sent to your email address. The person filling out the jotform will not know of this, just you and anyone else that you have included.

    OK, great, now lets go onto creating the autoresponder. What it will do is that it will send an email that looks as similar to notifier as you'd like, to the person that filled out the jotform, without them knowing about the other email in the notifier.
