Feature request: Edit submissions of a disabled form.

Asked by diturkey on January 17, 2015 at 03:42 AM

    Hi!

Sometimes after we disable the form submitters request some info to be changed. we would like to be able to do that ourselves by logging into the account and making the changes for them. however after the form is disable, the edit buttion on the submissions window also gets the "expires message"

    Thanks,

    elif

Submissions form is disabled message thanks logging

    Hello elif,

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to edit submission if the form is disabled. The status of the form should be enabled if you want to edit the submission of that form.

This seems to be a very useful functionality. Let me send a feature request to our back end team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update on this feature request.

For now I will suggest you to enable your form and password protect it so that you can only edit/submit your form. You may like to take a look at the following thread which should help you on how to password protect form:  http://www.jotform.com/answers/417268-How-can-I-add-password-protection-to-my-form

    Thank you!

I would like to add my vote for this feature.  It is an odd configuration to have a form behave on the admin side the same way it does for the respondent; I've never seen this before.  That basically defeats the purpose of an admin view.  The admin view should allow viewing, editing, and saving of all fields at any time regardless of the status of the front-end form.  And, it would be nice to be able to view, edit, and save all the fields on one page so that the admin doesn't have to remember to click through the entire form and Submit in order for any changes to be saved.

    Hello exchangepress,

I have split your response into its own forum thread so that it can be properly tracked as a feature request. The new thread can be found here.

    Thanks, Aaron
