I started collecting data through JotForm a few days ago and connected the form to my Mailchimp account without any issues. After starting to collect data in JotForm (including one field that i wasn't passing through to Mailchimp), i decided that I wanted to pass through an additional field of info into Mailchimp, so I created the field in Mailchimp and then edited the existing Mailchimp integration to connect the JotForm field with the Mailchimp field. I clicked "update integration" and it says "Wow! You have XX submissions. Please wait while we integrate your data". It's been running for over 30 minutes so i want to make sure it's actually running properly and updating the existing entries, and that it hasn't timed out and is just stuck on too big of an update. How do I check this?

Can you please try to login into another browser to see if the update was saved? Otherwise, I would recommend you to delete the integration and reintegrate again, but make sure to clear your browsers cache first.
Let us know if you need more help.

I tried in a different browser and it had not completed. i disconnected the integration and reconnected it, now it's the same window of "you have xx submissions, please wait". there are over 5,500 records to update so I understand it won't happen instantly I just want to be sure it's actually working and not just timing out.

What is the form you are referring to? Are you updating MailChimp or Google Spreadsheet? MailChimp should not take that long, however, Google Spreadsheet will take longer if you have a lot of submissions.
Is this the form you are referring to? http://www.jotform.us/form/61404431374145

Thank you for the additional information. When reviewing that form, Pure Hockey Gear Giveaway Contest!, I only saw it was integrated with Google Spreadsheet. It was not integrated with MailChimp.
Your other form was integrated with both Google Spreadsheet and MailChimp.
Like my colleague indicated, it should not take very long. If you are still having problem, please let us know. We will be glad to help.

My current form (Gear Giveaway Contest) was integrated with Mailchimp, but at the recommendation of BDAVID I disconnected the integration and am now trying to reconnect - but having the same problem. It has now been running for close to an hour and still hasn't finished updating.

Thank you for the information.
Like I mentioned before this form, Pure Hockey Gear Giveaway Contest! (61885845048165), does not have MailChimp integrated. It only has the Google Spreadsheet. Can you please try re-integrating into the form again and see if you still have problems.

I'm not sure what you're missing - it was connected to MailChimp, but at the advice of your colleague I disconnected the integration. It is stuck on the reintegration process now just like it was stuck when I was trying to update the existing integration.

Sorry for my misunderstanding. When reviewing the form I did not see the integration. This was the reason because it was never completed properly.
Can you please close the window, clear your browser's cache and cookies and try again.
Please let us know if you are still having problems.

OK i am doing that now, although I already tried that once with no success. how long should i wait before it has taken "too long" and indicates there is an issue?

It should not take you more than 5 min. Try clearing forms cache before integrating: https://www.jotform.com/help/229-How-to-Clear-Your-Form-Cache

i cleared my cache as described in that link, and still no luck. i'm just going to give up on an integration for this form and add people manually after the signup time frame is over.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. If you are using FireFox or Chrome, is it possible to take a screen shot when opening the debugger. You can open the debugger by pressing F12. At the bottom you should see a console tab, as shown below. Can you please take a screen shot of any errors that may appear. This will allow us to see what may be the issue.
