I initially had my previous web developer set up my JotForms. When I joined, you all actually had implemented a max form limit, which I have no problem with as you have to get revenue from this platform.
I have 3 JotForms on my website www.tbsportsentertainment.com:
- Ticket Purchase Programs
- Lyft / Uber Travel Requests
- Prime / Platinum Registration
But, there are other forms within my account. Do I need those or can I use to add additional JotForms I need to create? I didn't know if there was any technology within those not used in order for the others to keep working.

I have checked your account. Despite having a FREE plan, you have 15 active forms in your account instead of 5 as you can see the screenshot below:
However, as you said you are an old JotForm user. We will still grandfather previous forms from current Free accounts, so you will still have access to all the forms on your account. You can keep receiving submissions and edit the 70+ forms on your account.
You only need to upgrade to a higher plan if you want to create more forms, clone, or restore deleted forms. For more information about this, please check our article here: Upcoming Changes to JotForm Starter & Guest Plan Users: September 19, 2016.
My recommendation would be to delete the unnecessary active forms from your account as you have said you need only 3 active forms.

I just wanted to know if those are not in use, were they necessary, code wise, as I would set up those with new forms.
But, I am definitely going to upgrade within the money, based on my current plans, which is not an option :)

I have checked your account and see that there are 15 forms in it. Since the free accounts are limited to create only 5 forms, unfortunately, you cannot create any new forms in this account. Since your account is grandfathered, the current forms can be managed normally until you delete them. If you delete the forms in the account, you are still restricted to create new forms if the total forms are more than 5.
You may upgrade your account to the appropriate plan that allows creating the number of forms. You can compare the subscription plan from our pricing page.
