Event check in for previous participants

hello,

i run yoga events and have a database of names and emails. we currently check people in with clipboards, pencil and paper. i want to digitize.

i'm looking for two things:

new participant: gather their name, email, and other data

returning participant: a lookup function of some sort. whether by name or email address.

the returning participant is key. 80% of our participants are returning, don't want them to have to type in their info a second time.
