Adding multiple people without using a widget

Asked by oziellaw on July 07, 2017 at 12:10 PM

Is there an easy way for users to insert the details of multiple people. We don't know how many people they might want to add.

    For example, user could add

And then have a button to press - Add Another

And they will be prompted with an opportunity to add another person, and so on, until they don't need to add any more.

I recommend you use the Infinite List widget or Configurable List widget.

Infinite List widget - This widget will allow you to define what inputs the list should contain for each row entry.

Configurable List widget - The widget allows you to define the various field types per column on the list in a matrix-type of layout. Here's a user guide: How-to-Set-Up-the-Configurable-List-Widget.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

    Thank you Jan.

I tried the Configurable List Widget - but there doesn't seem to be a way to add specific types of inputs - like an address input - looks like I have to just put a text box.

Also, the default look isn't very attractive and I don't know how to code CSS.

If that is the case, then I suggest you use the "Show/Hide Field Condition". Please check this demo form: https://form.jotformpro.com/71570991377972.

You can clone it if you like to. Here's a guide on how I created that demo form:

    1. Insert text fields and "Single Choice" fields. You need to label them properly to avoid confusion when creating conditions. I used #1 and #2 for the fields as a reference.

    2. Create a Show/Hide Field condition wherein if the user selected "Yes" in "#1 Add More?" question, the "#2 Name" field and "#2 Add More" single choice field will appear.

    Here's the result:
