From email address for Notification emails

    Hi,

I have two forms in my account, Shopify Student Discount and Shopify Catalogue Request

When I submit the Shopify Catalogue Request form, the from email address is the address the customer adds to the form, where as when I submit the Shopify Student Discount, the from email address is noreply@jotform.com

Is there a way to change the Shopify Student Discount form to also use the email address the customer adds to the form as the from email address?

    Many thanks

    Alan

Hello Alan, We have only an option to set a Reply-To value as address entered on the form:

But, if you would like to set the from value with same email, you would need to apply custom solution for this. I can suggest to check the following article: Set-The-Sender-Email-Address-With-Mandrill-Account

So how come one of my forms appears to use email address entered to the form as the "from" address, and the other one doesn't?

    Best Regards

    Alan

Your Student Discount form was created back in 2011. Back then it was possible to set the user's email address as the sender email. This option is no longer available, but if you set the user's email as the sender email in your email Notification when you created the form this setting was saved and because of that you are receiving the emails from the email address you user's entered. Please note there is no assurance that it will continue to work as we do not offer this option anymore.

If you want to have this option on a new form or new Email Notification, the only option is to use Mandrill, as my colleague suggested.
