    Hey Jotform,

We're organizing a state-wide photography contest in Wyoming. Mostly landscape photographs will compete and the winner will get cash and photography equipment as winning prize. People will upload their photos on a form with some basic information on who they are, email, etc. But we want to be strict on timing. No more submissions as of a particular date and time. We're using Google Form generally but I haven't done any complicated stuff until now. I don't know how to disable form. I was hoping you can help me with that. You can also tell me if we can do this on jotform as well.

    Have a nice day,

    Hi Florence,

You can disable your Google Form by clicking on "Responses" and unchecking "Accepting Responses" button. JotForm provides more advanced features in terms of disabling forms. In addition to one-click disabling feature, you can also turn it off at a particular time or when a certain number of forms are submitted. If you're strict about timing and would like to set a due date on the contest application, all you need to do is to set a date and time and your forms will no longer accept submission. Also, if you have a quota on the total number of applications, say 1000, you can disable your form when the number of applications reach at 1000.

Unlike Google Forms, you can also collect e-signatures with your forms in addition to advanced disabling features. JotForm widgets will help you to have a smooth pen experiences and get more accurate signatures in your online forms. We have several signature widgets such as Smooth Signature and Adobe Sign. I believe this is a practical feature that can be used in contest organization where you need to have a legally binding contracts since you're collecting photos from participants.
