Insert AccountId In Autoresponder Email

    Greetings

I am trying to insert an AccountId into the Subject/Title of the Autoresponder email that is sent once a form has been submitted. This AccountId is appended to the Form URL when sent to the customer for signing, however I'm not clear on how to reference this value within the Autoresponder email's Subject/Title. I can add the AccountId to the subject of the email that is sent to the customer for signing if needed.

    Thanks in advance.

You can edit the email template and add the account ID in the email title. Here's a guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/430-How-to-Edit-the-Email-Template-for-Notifications-and-Autoresponders

Here's a sample screencast on how to add fields in the Email Subject:

    Thank you, Vincent.

What if I don't see AccountId as an option when clicking the pencil icon? The AccountId is not a field on the Form itself, instead it's a variable in the email template sent to the customer to sign.

My understanding is that you want the Account ID to be appended to the URL of the form and use it in the email subject.

This is possible by prepopulating a hidden field via the URL. Here's how:

    1. Create a hidden field inside the form and call it "Account ID". Make sure to hide the field and get the Unique Name. You'll find this information in the field properties.

    2. Prepopulate that field via the URL. Kindly refer to this guide: Prepopulating-Fields-to-Your-JotForm-via-URL-Parameters.

    Here's an example: https://form.jotform.com/91986413789981?accountId=12345.

[Form URL] [Unique Field Name] [Prepopulated value]

    3. Insert the hidden field in the Email Subject.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, let us know.

    Hello John and Ben

I updated my form with the hidden field, updated the email template with the appropriate syntax to include {accountId}. Thank you for that guidance!

I'm now having trouble on the receiving end of the Notification Email. I have an active email service in a Salesforce Org waiting for the Notification Email from JotForm, however the expected action is not triggering. Is there anywhere in JotForm that I can confirm the Notification Email is sent / view returned error emails? The Inbox appears to only show successful submissions..

    Thanks again for your support!

I checked your form and the notification is configured correctly. I also reviewed our mail logs and found that all submissions were successfully sent to the recipients listed in the notification. The emails are also not on our bounce list so you should not be having trouble receiving emails from jotform.

Please check this guide for a possible reason why you're not receiving an email notification.

Please whitelist jotform domains and IPs in your web/email host to ensure that all the emails sent to you will be received successfully.
