Thanks for the message back — what we are trying to do is the following — we don’t have a form right now:
We want a teacher to be able to answer a set of questions and upload documents or add links to documents. The uploaded documents could be a class list and we would like it to be possible to have the first name and only the first initial of the last name be recorded — e.g., if it’s Jane Doe, we want to receive Jane D. when we look at the form— truncate.
We’d like to be able to have a kind of First Name Last Name Truncator of sorts — so that a teacher could upload the list and see that the names were coverted and say, okay, that’s good and then that gets uploaded.
We totally understand jot form might not be able to do the truncation, but can jot form allow the person filling out the form to upload and have this coversion done and then be able to view the result before saying okay, upload this file?
Does that make sense?
