Could I create a sign in/out form?

    Hi there,

My name is Vivienne. I run a child care center and use Jotform for my intake form and all enrollment forms. I am currently looking for a great system to track when students arrive and when they leave. Additionally, with COVID, we are screening students upon arrival, logging data such as temperature and basic health questions would need to be logged as well. Lastly, I would like a system that auto-bills parents when they arrive late to pick up their child.

Is this something you feel Jotform is capable of? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

    Hi Vivienne

Unfortunately, we do not have a proper sign in sign out solution, but we have two different features that could help you achieve something similar.

The first one is the Save and Continue Later feature. By enabling it, users will be allowed to edit their submissions whenever they want, if they have a link to their session.

Another possible workaround is the Spreadsheet to Form widget. It populates your form once a certain value is filled out in a specific field at your choice, based on data you have uploaded to the form as an Excel file. For example, you could make it populate the form according to the e-mail address provided, so you can easily generate new submissions for known users.

In the first case, information is continuously added to the same submission, that keeps being edited by the user. In the second case, it is always a new submission.

As for your second question, I am afraid it is not possible to use JotForm for that.
