i want to take fields from my existing application form, import them into a pdf or another form, then (batch/mail merge) email that PDF/form back to the applicants to sign electronically. basically i'm trying to send the applicants a contract to sign.

is there a workflow for this?

Unfortunately there is no built-in feature to achieve your requirement. Do you mean to say that you have already received the applicant data in form, and you want them to sign the data electronically?

I would also suggest you to please take a look at our "Spreadsheet to form" widget and see if that fits into your requirement. You can upload an Excel file with all the data and a unique column data that could be the email field. When the user input their email address in widget on form, it will fetch the existing data from the uploaded Excel file and display in form field. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/442-how-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget

Here is the workflow I would suggest you to achieve your requirement:

#1. Download the applicant's data Excel file

#2. Build a new form and add "Spreadsheet to form" widget and desired form fields for which data you want to be displayed in PDF including signature field.

#3. Upload the Excel file you have build after making the changes in the columns' header.

#4. Customize the "PDF Document" template and add the contract text.

Now you can grab the form's direct URL and share it with the applicants. They will input the data in the widget which will fetch their own data from Excel file and populate in the form fields. They can sign in form and submit. You can also configure your form's auto-responder email alert to include the PDF document as attachment. The following guide should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/503-how-to-include-submissions-as-pdf-attachment-in-the-email-notifications

    Hope this helps.
