Square Payments: Options for deposit at the time the order is placed

I do meal prep and require a deposit at the time the order is placed. How do I set it up where 50% is due at the time the order is placed and the remaining portion due the day before orders are picked up? I am using Square as my payment method I see an algorithm on the develop side but I'm unsure as to how I go about plugging it in.

I do not believe we have options to allow for a setup like this at this time. However, you can enable Payment authorization, which will allow you to charge the full amount within six days.

Additionally, I have opened a feature request to see if incremental payments can be enabled for Square and the Product List. While I cannot make any guarantees for if or when it will be implemented, rest assured you will be notified here if there are any updates.

I have watched the video on the links you have posted; however, it doesn't tell me how I am able to set up a deposit now and a payment later. Are there other videos that address this or instructions that walk you through it? Is it even a possibility or is holding the charge until you manually submit it the only option?
