I explain it with an example.

I want to do a form to collect pupils that have done a specific course. Then i will do a document for each of them.

I would like the organizer to be able to enter the information of the course (place, name, duration,...) but also all the pupils that assisted. I would like to have one field where he could copy from another place all the names and simply paste, and not pasting one by one 20 or 40 pupils.

I want to then pass this pupils to a spreadsheet with zapier. But i would need each pupil in one record so i can then work with it.

¿Is this possilbe? My manin objective is that organizer does not have to copy and paste 20 - 40 times but only one for the course.

    Thanks in advance

As far as I understand the situation Google Spreadsheet integration could be of assistance to you.

    https://www.jotform.com/help/228-How-to-Integrate-Form-with-Google-Spreadsheet

You'll have submissions saved on your Google Drive where the questions are main Columns and the submission data filled out accordingly.

You can check the guideline to see if that'll work out for you!

Yes but I will have one submission but many records in one field. I want to enter many records in one only submission. Please see my example.

I would suggest you to try with the Configurable List widget, that will allow you to capture multiple records in one single field.

    Link to the widget: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/configurable_list

You will also find other widgets that allow multiple entries here: https://widgets.jotform.com/category/multiple_entries

    Hope this helps.

Sorry for sure my english is not that good. I will try to explain it better.

On that way i will have all 20 pupils in the same submission, and therefore when taking information to a spreadsheet i will have one only row with all pupils. I need each pupil in one row. I need 20 rows as 20 submissions where done.

    Hello eaguiar,

If I understand your question correctly, you are collecting data of 20 pupils in the same form submission and you want to display all these 20 pupil's data in separate row of spreadsheet. Is that correct?

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to achieve your requirement. Please note that each submission data is stored in one row irrespective of the number of columns. It is not possible to send one submission data and save it in multiple rows.

I would suggest you to please download your submission data in excel and manually separate it in multiple rows.

    Thank you!

thanks, i can not do it manually, as the porpuse is to automate some documents after entering pupils list. if any one knows a possible workaround i will be very pleased.

    Thanks anyway for your answers!

    Hello eaguiar,

I understand but unfortunately there is no option to save one submission in multiple rows. Every time submit button of form is clicked, form data will be saved as one row.

If you want the data to be saved in multiple rows, the only option is to allow users to submit form multiple times. I would suggest you to collect 1 pupil data in form and redirect users to same form after the form is submitted. You need to grab your form's direct URL and set it as custom thank you URL of the same form. The following guide should help you how to redirect users:  https://www.jotform.com/help/38-Redirecting-Users-to-a-Different-Page

    Thank you!
