Why Am I Not Receiving Email Notifications

There are many possible reasons why notifications might not be going through. Here are some common methods for troubleshooting.

1. First and foremost, make sure that there is a recipient email address in your EMAIL NOTIFICATION and that this is the email address you want the submissions to go to. This guide will give you a quick walkthrough: Finding Out the Email Address Used for Notifications

2. Check your recipient email address for any typos.

3. Check if the email is in your spam/junk folder. If it's there, mark it as NOT SPAM so that it will not be flagged as spam in the future. If you're using GMAIL, creating filters would help you prevent this from happening again: How to Prevent Emails from Landing in Gmail's Spam Folder

4. Check to see if your email is on the bounce list. Here's a guide on How to Remove Your Email Address from the Bounce List. There are several reasons why your email address may have been added to the bounce list. It could be due to a non-existent/inactive email address, your mail server being unavailable, your mailbox is full or JotForm is on your blacklist. JotForm will stop sending emails when your email address is on the bounce list. Please note that high bounce rates will put our sending method at risk so we have to process the bounce messages without exceptions.

5. If the previous suggestions didn't help, please contact your email service provider and ask them to accept emails coming from Jotform regardless of the IP Address being used. This is to ensure that all legitimate emails coming from JotForm and AmazonSES (our email service providers) will be recognized and accepted by your email service provider. 

6. If the above steps do not allow for emails to go through, open a ticket in our Support Forum. Make sure to include the URL of your form and the email address involved. We will debug the problem for you and send you the email server logs. You can then contact your hosting provider with the email tracking ID and ask them to find out what happened with the email.

    Hi, I made a form (Aanvraag subsidie SGOfonds 2020) and I am not receiving notification emails. Also the notifications to the submitter of the form are not received. I double checked all emails, but no luck. In an earlier stage it worked fine. What did I do wrong?

    Hi there guys,

    im contacting you because an issue that is related with a email recipient is not receiving mails and when it does one time it receives and another don't. I already check the bounce list, already test (it sends correctly) the email recipient, deleted it and typing it again saved and test but don't resolve the problem when our workers send the form and only one email is receiving it. Im the structure of the form i got 2 distinct email recipients and one condition of check box to send the form to the 2 email recipients. This problem has already happen in the past and after a while the form was sended correctly.

    Can you guys help me to solve this problem?

    i neither have them in the JotForm DATA BASE. It shows the latest order details as the one that was received 3 days ago. No other recent orders are not shown.

    We have a free account and five forms, three in current use. We are not receiving submissions from one form, the others are all OK. I can't find a mistake, have tried several different notification email addresses, checked that they are not on the bounce list, they are not going into spam or junk folders. Help please?

    2. Click the edit icon next to the email address
    3. Make sure the "SMTP Details" are the same as your email provider's

    This is a nightmare - I can remove our e-mail from the bounce list and it goes right back on - WTH is the problem with Jot Form - we pay for this service - MAKE IT WORK.

    Our application forms were working as well until the last update of Jotform. This is causing an Administrative nightmare. We receive some emails and not others so it's not the email address itself. We have escalated this via a ticket but it is still not resolved after a month of waiting.
