  • Psst...thanks for completing this application! At first glance, you might thing "sheesh, this is a little long - are all these questions really necessary?" I know, because I thought the same thing when we got our dogs! We hand-raise all of our puppies in our home with our children and love them, and we hope you love your puppy, too.

Every family is different, and there are no right or wrong answers. We know many families have two working adults and we don't expect anyone to be a superhero and quit a day job just to be able to take home a puppy. Every puppy family has different needs, and this application helps us identify who needs what information and what homes might make the best fit. If you're a veteran husky owner, we don't want to waste your time regaling things you already know; by the same token, if this is your first puppy or first husky, we want to make sure you leave prepared for what life with a puppy may bring. So again, thank you!

    • We understand this can be a very exciting time for our potential puppy buyers! Starting at 1 week of age we allow our approved buyers on our waiting list to make their picks in the order they were approved. Once you make your pick we require a $200 non-refundable deposit to hold until weaning. Deposit goes towards final purchase price of the puppy.

We completely understand the urge for potential puppy parents to want to come visit our puppies. We do not allow any visitors until the puppy are 6 weeks of age. This allows their mothers plenty of time to bond with them, often our females are very protective of their new babies until around then. At 6 weeks of age the puppies will also have their first round of shots which protects them against certain illnesses very common in puppies.

We post weekly updates (at least!) of our puppies so you will see many photos and videos of the puppies until you are able to come meet them!

If you prefer to wait to make your pick until you can meet the puppies we are more than happy to allow you to come pick in person after the puppies are 6 weeks of age. In most cases all of our puppies are placed prior to 6 weeks of age and we are unable to hold puppies without a deposit. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.

    • About Puppy's New Family
    • This is where we find out a little more about the puppy's new home and family. Please remember in most cases there is no "right" or "wrong" answer. This is just a way to get to know you!

    • Please tell us a little about where puppy will live as a puppy (we know circumstances change).

    • Ownership Commitment
    • This is where we want to make sure we are all on the same page, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns!

    • What to expect
    • Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from John & Erica Montoya, but it does not guarantee I'll get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

If this application is approved, you'll be notified when the puppies are born and be required to send a $200 non-refundable deposit within 7 days in order to hold the puppy of your choice. Please note our deposit policy: if you make a deposit, you are committing to take a puppy from the litter, regardless of whether your gender/color preference is available. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit is forfeited. We do the best to match preferences. Deposits are non-refundable.

From time to time we may decide to keep a puppy out of a litter. We reserve the right to hold puppies. This may mean that certain puppies may not be available for a couple weeks while we decide on if we may keep the said puppy or not.

Puppies will go to their new homes at 8 weeks. We cannot hold puppies for extended times; it is critical for their social development that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. Puppies must be picked up within 7 days unless other written arrangements are made.

We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. We believe it's the professional thing to do to memorialize our obligations to each other on paper so there are no questions later, and for that reason it's a bit lengthy. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.

If you purchase "Limited Registration" we require spay/neuter at or before 24 months. Proof of the procedure from your vet is required before we will release the said dog's registration papers.

*We do not allow any puppy to leave our property prior to 8 weeks of age, NO EXCEPTIONS*
